On November 10, 2015 from 10 AM-11:30 AM Youth Health Connection will host a free “Train the Trainer,” event on Hidden In Plain Sight: An Awareness Program for Parents and Guardians on items and behaviors that may be a concern related to teen substance use. At this training attendees will learn about the contents of the “mock teen bedroom” a display that contains over 60 items of possible concern, be shown how to set up and take down the display, receive training on how to present the accompanying community presentation and have time for a question and answer period.
The community presentation is designed to open parental eyes and raise awareness on possible risky adolescent behaviors. After attending, the “trainers” can request the Hidden In Plain Sight display and materials for their community, coalition or organization free of charge. To register please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org Youth Health Connection is grateful to the support from BlumShapiro that makes it possible to bring this program and training to our local region.
